Sundar Pichai - Google's New CEO

Pichai Born in Madras (now Chennai), Tamil Nadu, India in 1972 from Tamil Lakshmi & Regunatha Pichai couple. His father Regunatha Pichai is a senior electrical engineer for the British conglomerate General Electric Company (GEC) and runs a factory that makes electrical components. Sundar grew up in a two-room apartment on 46th Street, 7th Avenue, in Ashok Nagar, Madras. He married Anjali and had a daughter.
Sundar Pichai completes Class X at the Jawahar Vidyalaya school located in Ashok Nagar, Chennai, and completes Class XII of the Vana Vani school located on the IIT campus of Chennai.
Pichai gets a degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT KGP) in Metallurgical Engineering. Professor Sundar at IIT recommended he pursue a PhD at Stanford University, but he decided to pursue an MS and MBA degree instead.
After graduation he holds an MS degree from Stanford University in Materials Science and Engineering and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was appointed to Siebel Scholar and Palmer Scholar.
Pichai joined Google in 2004, he served as the lead of product management and innovation of Google client software, including Google Chrome, Chrome OS, and Google Drive. He is also responsible for the development of applications such as Gmail and Google Maps.
On November 19, 2009 Pichai gave demonstrations of Chrome OS and Chromebook released for trial and testing in 2011 and released publicly in 2012. On May 20, 2010, it announced Google's open-sourced VP8 video codec, and introduced the format New video WebM.
On March 13, 2013 Pichai added Android for the Google products he watched. Android was previously managed by Andy Rubin . He is rumored to be one of the competitors for Microsoft CEO position in 2014.
He is Director of Jive Software from April 2011 to July 30, 2013.
Pichai was announced as the next Google CEO on August 10, 2015 having been previously appointed Head of Products by the CEO Larry Page on October 24, 2014. He will step into a new position after the completion of the formation of Alphabet Inc., a new conglomerate For Google's corporate family.
